Our Mission
College Factory is a 501(c)(3) certified nonprofit based in Athens, Georgia, dedicated to helping first-generation college students achieve their post-secondary goals. By pairing high school students with post-secondary mentors, hosting community workshops and providing low-cost ACT training, College Factory works to build a college-going culture in the Athens-Clarke County community. Composed of a network of educators and volunteers, College Factory is committed to helping students find the right path along their journey to college.
Go Succeed!
Career development, college planning, test prep, and life skills expansion. College Factory’s Go Succeed! program pairs high school students with post-secondary mentors who guide the students through the college admissions process. Career development training, college planning, ACT test prep and personal attention from College Factory Coaches ensures the success of College Factory Fellows. Go Succeed! is open to about 30 students per year.
ACT Test Prep
Preparation is essential to success when it comes to taking college entrance exams, and College Factory is here to help by providing low-cost ACT test training for all students in and around Athens-Clarke County.
Community Partnerships
College Factory has partnered with several nonprofits in and around Athens in an effort to provide comprehensive services to high school students in the area. Chess and Community, Project Rewire and Athens StepUp are just three of the organizations College Factory has teamed-up with in an effort to make Athens-Clarke County a better place.
